Hematology
Comprehensive Hematology and Blood Analysis Panel
This group of tests provides a detailed evaluation of your blood’s overall health, helping to diagnose anemia, blood disorders, immune system problems, and other conditions.
Included tests:
|
· CBC (Complete Blood Count): Measures red cells, white cells, and platelets. · HGB (Hemoglobin): Checks oxygen-carrying protein in blood. · Hct (Hematocrit): Measures red blood cell percentage. · Hb A2, Hb F: Detects hemoglobin variants, important for thalassemia screening. · G6PD: Screens for enzyme deficiency that may cause hemolytic anemia. · ESR (1h/2h): Detects inflammation in the body. |
· Platelet Count: Assesses blood clotting function. · Direct & Indirect Coombs Tests: Identify harmful antibodies affecting red blood cells. · Blood Group & Rh Typing: Determines blood type and Rh factor. · Reticulocyte Count & Index: Measures bone marrow activity and new red blood cell production. · Peripheral Blood Smear: Examines blood cells under a microscope to detect abnormalities. |
Anemia Panel
The Anemia Panel is designed to evaluate iron status, vitamin levels, and other key markers to identify and classify different types of anemia.
Included tests:
· Vitamin B12: Checks vitamin B12 levels essential for red blood cell production.
· Transferrin: Measures the main protein that transports iron in the blood.
· Folic Acid: Assesses folate levels important for cell growth and red blood cell formation.
· Fe (Iron): Determines the amount of iron in the blood.
· Ferritin: Indicates the body’s iron stores.
· TIBC (Total Iron Binding Capacity): Evaluates the blood’s ability to transport iron.
Coagulation
This group of tests provides a detailed evaluation of your blood’s overall health, helping to diagnose anemia, blood disorders, immune system problems, and other conditions.
